Unit Birwelco manufactures specialist equipment for a wide range of industries at our UK based facilities.

- Pressure vessels and other process equipment
We also undertake shell and tube bundle refurbishment in tandem with our specialist bundle pulling capability, to provide an integrated maintenance and turnaround service.
Facilities
Our extensive UK manufacturing and fabrication facilities feature 20 tonne overhead gantry cranes and one of the UK’s largest heat treatment furnaces. In addition, we offer in-house non-destructive testing that includes gamma and x-ray radiography, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection and ultrasound.
To ensure the very highest quality our manufacturing facilities are certified to the following standards:
- ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) certified manufacturer of pressure vessels, U Code Stamp
- ASME certified manufacturer and assembler of power boilers, S Code Stamp
- Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance ISO 9001 Management Systems
- EC Certificate of Conformity to the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
